Black hair with red in it?

I am gettin my hair cut kind of short and its already pretty dark but i think i am goin to go black and i want to get bright red in it. Like firetruck red, but i dont know HOW i want to do it....any suggestions, or pictures (pics would be great!)

I would either do like small streaks of the red or like red tips.

I think that would look the best.

For a strong effect, go with either chunky red streaks, or you could do the tips and the strands close to the face. You could also combine it, do tips and do a few streaks through the rest of the hair, just make sure not to do too many streaks if you go that way, or it could become overpowering in the red.

you should color an inch of your hairline all the way around. it looks really neat when styled and if you pull it back it looks streaked.
