Hair dye red and blonde?

i bought a dark golden blonde hair colouring kit.(first time user)i followed all the instructions, but the result wasnt successesful. its not even blonde its almost like my natural original hair(black)any one got any advice or product to recommend.i need my hair to be either light red or dark blonde enough for other people to see my haircolor clearly.

If your hair is that dark, a hair coloring from the store will not lighten it. You will need to get it lighten. Sorry.

You could try yourself, by going to a Sally's beauty Supply and getting bleach, but, I'd call around and get it done professionally, because you can really mess up your hair, trying to do it yourself. Please go get it done!!! Been there, done that.

You need to buy a 'bleach' for your hair, and use that first, then add the 'hair color' to get the color you want. Since you have BLACK hair, though, you may not get a 'true white blond' ... many people who have 'naturally black' hair can get only to a 'light red' ... so do a 'test' on a bit of the 'bottom back' hair at your neck to 'be sure' before you use the 'hair bleach' on your whole head.
