Best hair color that won't easily fade away? (Like red, blue, green, etc.)?

I want to get my hair dyed red or blue or something but am worried about fading.

I know red will fade to pink.

Blue to a gray-ish green.

Green to I don't know what.

Or any other color along those lines. I just don't want to have pink hair (I'm a guy). What color is best and is there a "right way" so my hair will be fade-proof?

I know someone who did right red hair, and it faded to a not-bright red after 3 months. And another of my friends did his Blue, and it actually turned into a pretty green. I've never seen faded green hair, so i cant help you with that one.

Dont follow the directions on the dye if you want it to last super long! Bleach it as light as it will go. Then put in your dye, and leave the color in overnight, in a showercap. If you want a super bright color, use a hot hairdryer to heat your hair while its in the showercap Then the next day wash it out, and after that DO NOT wash it for as long as you can. After that you should be good to go!

It depends what your going to dye it.

But with anything.

all you got to do is bleach your hair first.

Then dye it.

After a long time it will fade like all colors do.

But its stays a lot longer if you just put it in...

my daughter is a hair dresser, she uses pink in her own hair, and it never seems to fade. She puts a deep blue in her boyfriends hair, ..seems to last awhile....and stays the shade, ...so i'm sure its the product she uses that makes it last. good luck

Anything but natural hair color will fade to something else. Sorry, but the only color that never fades is black.

green will turn into like a garbage color. i think you should get red. there is nothing realy bad with pink. i actually like pink hair. even on guys. ask ur hair stylist this question. u'll probably get a better answer than most of these ppls. (no offense to anybody!) :)

Maybe bright neon orange?

It may fade to a orangeyyellow.

But hey, barely anyone dyes thier hair orange, it's pretty original.

Red stays longer then any other.

Green will fade to a crap green. I dont think you want that.

I've died my hair red and it only faded slightly, and slowly. I just died over it so it never actually faded away completly.

Green fades to a murky brown. If you've bleached the area first then applied the green.

There is no way to make your hair fade proof. Unless you don't wash it, stay out of the sun, use heat styling tools.

For a guy, I've always like the neon blue.

Well unfortunately nothing is fade proof because no non natural hair color is permanent.

but some tips

a. of course bleach your hair

b. I generally found dye colors from hot topic were very thick

c. when you put it on let it actually dry and get gross oddly before you rinse it

this will NOT damage your hair because semi permanent dyes majority of the time does not carry ammonia

i find this way it makes the color intense and last much much longer of course though it depends how many times you wash your hair..

I am light skined and I have natural dark blonde hair but I color it black and the color stays and it is gorgeous and different. I have colored my hair for years and I have had all kinds of combinations and black is my fav. try it! It also matches everything you wear unlike blue or pink.

The right way to ensure color staying is to rinse out color and put lots of conditioner rinse that out , all in cold water, and then don't wash it for two days, letting the color set in.

I don't care what color you use it will fade. Fade out is something you will have to put up with if you color your hair.
