Dying hair black/red?

My friend has dyed black hair, but its spotty. She wants to re-dye it black with 2 tones of red through out. What is the best way to go about this?

i recommend you go to a professional when coloring your hair so that you can have your friend hair has good results trust me i know about this i tried dying my own very dark brown hair light brown and i accidentally dyed my hair blonde!

If its spotty then choose those spots to bleach it out %26amp; dye it red.If she is going to dye it black again she should dye it first then bleach out the other spots %26amp; dye it red. Good Luck!
