When I had my hair streaked with crayon color red the stylist didn't put bleach on my hair she simply used red dye. Does anyone know how to do that?

Is it possible she used a one step bleach/dye? I've used a red one on a friend of mine and it came out super bright in one step so there may be a chance you just didn't go through 2 separate processes but it was bleached. Other than that I don't know how you'd go from medium brown hair to a bright crayon red without bleaching it. You can get it to a decent darker red but not bright red.

Buy a box of Crayolas, preferably the 24 pack.... Take out the red one. Then slowly soak it in hot water. The water should turn red. At this point you would realize that this will totally not work, and go to the salon to have red highlights put into your hair.

depending how "bright" you want the red to be you have one of two options: color over your hair the way it is for a dark shade of crayon red or buy a light shade of blonde dye to go over the brown first. wait a week (so as not to abuse your hair too much) and then go over the light color with the red dye you want. hope this helps.
