I accidentally dyed my hair a red color that i don't like, its not too red just the wrong red,
so i was wondering if anyone knew a way to maybe tone down the red, or how long i had to wait to dye it back?
Dyed hair wrong red color, anyone know how long i have to wait to dye it back or anyway to change it?
Waiting a month is the best, but if you cant wait that long, then wait anything over 2 weeks.

Go buy some Sunlight Dish soap and wash your hair repeatably with it. It will take the colour out.

You could go into a salon and get lighter red highlights over it. Or, they could re-dye your hair for you. I wouldn't suggest doing anything yourself, just because you don't want to end up with a gross color due to mixing of products. You don't really need to wait long to do this because you aren't putting bleach into your hair, so the chemicals aren't ruining the strands that much. You could do it today or whenever is convienient for you. I really think you should go in and at least ask a stylist what products to use.

I had dyed mine light brown. Two weeks later I dyed it brown black. Because light brown doesn't look right on me. It turned out ok. Just redye it.

The color will fade. I used to be a cosmetologist. But you should wait at least a month before trying another color treatment. To be sure your not going to fry it I would wait 6-8 weeks.

i've dyed my hair multiple times in one day several times. it didn't hurt my hair at all. but unless you have hair that can take some abuse i might not suggest it. i've always had the philosophy of if it gets too messed up i can always chop it off and restart.
