Hair darkens red in winter, blonde in summer?

Without dying my hair, my hair goes red, a dull red.,..in the summer I can go as light as platinum blonde. I'm outside in the sun all day so I get that it lightens but coming inside I have this ugly red color in the winter and now that i try to dye it it won't change color, still stays this red color.

Help!!
