Irish I am. Red hair I have. I say all buddies, it comes from our genes. I think the full body make up has the control over what ones hair color turns out. Natural sun light will pull out the natural colors in ones hair. When choosing a color, always use the natural light to look and pick from your hair as well a color sample of hair. Go out side in the real sun light. The artificial lighting will change the color appearance of both.

I say hair is like a prism, and when picking colors keep it in mind.

Prism is natural and so is the human body. Always look into ones eyes and pick the colors seen to use as in hancing colors.

Both the client and the stylist needs to get on the same page bu comparing what each one sees.

when going from blonde to brown there is no need to use a 20 volume peroxide. The hair has already been lifted and all you want to do is to deposit so use 10 or 15 volume peroxide.

Forsure use a warn tone reddish to cut the green.

As for other countries and red hair. Well it is all over the world, just as God. The creator of all goes and is everwhere.

Most races of people in the world have black hair. This includes Ireland, as well as Asia, Native North and South Americans, etc. Northern Europeans (Danes, Norwegians - think Vikings) had lighter or blonde hair. Ireland was subjected to Viking Raids in the 8th, 9th and 10th centuries, and the Vikings ( or Northmen as they were called) were in fact responsible for founding towns such as Dublin and Limerick. Of course, inter-marriage took place, and the result was a "mixed race" many of whom had red hair. If you went to Ireland today, you would still find that the overwhelming majority of people have black hair.

I know we get our hair color from DNA of our parents and their parents and their parents and so on. If one's heritage is from England/Europe, and one is red headed, we know the hair color comes from there, but if the heritage isn't from that country we know the person got the red hair from someone from another part of the world. I have a red headed friend and her heritage is Irish, which would be European. But my other red headed friends don't have European ancestry that they know of. I also know a lot of red heads come from a "bottle," just because they want to be red headed.
