Dying my hair from RED to BLACK. Possible?

I've died my naturally brown hair yesterday and it got fire red (the box was showing a dark red almost black). I didnt like at all! And want to dye it black now, asap!! But dont know what can happen.

What results can I get by changing from red to black? Is it possible at all or the result will be a mix between the colors? And can I do it now? What are the risks?

And what kind of paint should i use? not permanent i suppose. What kind of paint is less harmfull? I've heard that these without amoniac (i think) are good. Can you reccommend me any brands please?

I'm desperate! Can wait another day to remove it!

well you dyed your hair yesterday??? its too soon to dye your hair again.. you will seriously damage it.. your hair is liek a sponge. it has already abosorbed everythign from yesterday so it is possible the color may not even stick. stay... i tried that once... i dyed my hair one week.. and a week later i tried to do a section of it a dark black, burgundayy co lor and it didnt work..

so wait about 5 to 6 weeks before dying again... otherwise you will seriously damager your hair!

Go to a professional to get it fixed. If you can't afford a professional color job then there are usually "beauty schools" in the area that will do it for a fraction of the cost of a regular stylist.

You should use a black semipermanent hair color rinse that you can get at the beauty supply store or a pharmacy store. Its semipermanent, meaning that it will wash off after a while. The reason why your hair turned out that color was because of your natural hair color. You have to look in the back of the box or on the top to see what your hair color will look like after the dye. It will not look like the box!

For now, I recommend the semi perm rinse because if you dye your hair again, which it sounds like you used permanent, you might make things worse and possibly have irreplacable damage since its two harsh processes back to back. They are also gentler. Try it out and see. I think it might come out to be the color you want. Do deep conditioning once a week also, to prevent your hair from damage, since you dyed your hair. i dye my hair black and you dont want to do non permanet bc it will just wash out and fade soo quick, use loreal black, i use blue black, but use what you want. your hair will take black is the hardest to get out tho so i advise you that if your not willing to have black hair for a long time thne dont do it!!! but your hair will porbally just be a little dry from 2 dyes in 2 days but you can work with it nad fix that with deep condiions ervery week. but really if you dnt plan on being black for a while then please just do dark brown, i have naturally blonde hair and i cant get the black out with out tottaly frying my hair with bleach, so ive tried many times and i know its very very hard to get out. but if thats what you want then go ahead =) good luck tho xo

If it's that bad get a LIVE colour rinse (it lasts about 6-8 washes)from the supermarket/priceline costs about $3. Then wait a while and do a permanent colour. I've done alot of home colouring over the years .On some of the packs that i've used it has a colouring hotline phone number.When you are at the shops read the labels and see if there is a hotline to call. If you go to a salon they will make you pay just for the same advice.
