i have red hair, blue eyes, freckles and 5'4. i used to hate the fact that i was a red head. when i was younger i used to ask my mom if i could dye my hair. she would say the same thing every time. "People pay big money for your hair color" it took me a while but then as i got older i found out people called me the hot red head. haha and i found out alot of people are attracted to red heads. like every kid, they have there awkward moments, i thought it was just me as a red head, but i even heard that redheads are going extinct haha its kinda funny but true. so just embrace it. once you love yourself, others will love you too.

the color of the hair has nothing to due with how strong it is. red hair as stronger pigments then blonde hair, and can be harder to get to lift to a blonde but it isnt stronger.

to dye it from red to a light brown you would have to bleach it and then dye it the brown but if you want to dye it a deep rich brown then you can just dye it the brown color from what you have it now.

If you're going from red to a darker brown, all you have to do is put the dye on. You don't have to bleach your hair or anything if you're going darker. I hope this is what you were asking about....

I have red hair and I us Loreal Color Spa, Medium brown and it works. It comes out gradually because it isn't a permanent die and does not damage my hair. I put it on every 5-6 weeks and it is great.

It costs around $8 and my hair stylist always tells me that I have great color and that my hair is beautiful.

It's a matter of pigmentation. redheads have less pigment than brunettes and the pigment they do have shows up more clearly on their fair skin.

Red is in no was extreme. Less common, but not extreme.

If you want it to be subtle and natural looking try to go with a shade that will compliment you best. For example if you are a blonde now, maybe try a lighter shade of red, like a strawberry blonde. If you have dark brown hair go with an auburn.
